Today
is Iced Tea Day, so, in honor of that, this one book post. :-)
Iced
tea was introduced at the1904 Worlds Fair in St. Louis during an
uncharacteristic heat wave. It was an immediate and lasting hit.
Fred Thompson offers up recipes and suggestions of all kinds in Iced
Tea: 50 Recipes for Refreshing Tisanes, Infusions, Coolers, and
Spiked Teas. There are traditional teas, slushy teas, carbonated
teas, and one using tomatos. There are 'adult' teas with a bit of
alcohol and even one tea without tea!
